H.R. 1370 - the reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank

 AMENDMENT # SECTION MEMBER DESCRIPTION OF AMENDMENT
       
1 New 7, at the end of the bill JONES To amend the guarantee program provided for in the Act so that the Bank may provide only up to 90 percent coverage of the interest and principle.
2 New 7, at the end of the bill SANDERS To direct the Export-Import Bank to include on its Advisory Committee not less than two members to represent the labor community.
3 New 7, at the end of the bill SANDERS To direct the Export-Import Bank to establish procedures to ensure that, when selecting among firms to provide financial assistance, preference be given to any firm that has shown a commitment to reinvestment and job creation in the United States.
4 New 7, at the end of the bill SANDERS To amend the Economic Impact Analysis section of the statute to prohibit the Bank for extending credit or financial guarantees for production of a commodity if the transaction will have an adverse impact on U.S. employment. (Makes conforming amendments to the Economic Impact analysis section.)
5 New 7, at the end of the bill FRANK To provide Community Work Requirements for members of Boards of Directors of firms receiving assistance from the Export-Import Bank.

New 7, at the end of the bill KENNEDY To require the Chairman of the Export-Import Bank to implement a plan to increase the number of applications from companies with no export background; to expand existing outreach programs so a greater number of U.S. businesses would be aware of and benefit from Ex-Im Bank services; and to require the Chairman of the Ex-Im to report to Congress on the progress of this effort next year.
